Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded annually at:
- East Carolina University (ECU)
- North Carolina National Guard Educational Foundation (NCNG)
- North Carolina Wesleyan College (NCWC)
- East Carolina University Army ROTC
- East Carolina University Air Force ROTC
Scholarships are awarded to students that embody Chris' life passion and follow in his footsteps by pursuing a military career and/ or a degree in a health related field. Recipients are selected by the staff members at their participating college. If you meet the scholarship criteria and are enrolled in one of the institutions listed above, please contact your financial aid office to complete a scholarship application. We wish you the best in your life's pursuits.
To date, the Reindeer Dash for Cash has raised a total of $264,305. Of that amount, $109,174 was created as an endowment at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount where Chris earned his first undergraduate degree. A second endowment of $35,000 was created in 2014 at the College of Health & Human Performance at East Carolina University where Chris earned a second undergraduate degree and a masters degree. In addition to the endowed scholarship, we annually fund scholarships from the proceeds of the Reindeer Dash for Cash.
